Lloyds Clinical is hiring a dedicated safeguarding professional with extensive management experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for safeguarding to join our friendly and supportive team. This role requires analytical skills, the ability to manage large volumes of data, and experience leading in a matrixed environment.
Role Purpose
The Safeguarding Lead will ensure Lloyds Clinical meets its safeguarding obligations across the UK, aligning with standards set by RQIA, CIS, CQC, and HIW. This role focuses on aligning safeguarding education and training, improving systems and processes, conducting audits, and embedding a culture of safeguarding awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
- Act as the designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation and policies.
- Align safeguarding policies with regulatory requirements.
- Lead on safeguarding governance and report key issues to the Governance & Quality function.
- Represent Lloyds Clinical in multi-agency safeguarding forums.
- Provide expert safeguarding advice and oversee serious safeguarding incidents.
- Lead in a matrixed environment, collaborating effectively across teams and departments.
Education & Training
- Develop and implement a safeguarding training strategy.
- Ensure training aligns with intercollegiate guidance and national frameworks.
- Deliver safeguarding training at all levels.
- Monitor compliance with training requirements.
Systems, Processes & Audits
- Review and improve safeguarding systems and processes.
- Conduct regular safeguarding audits.
- Ensure robust data management, record-keeping, and reporting mechanisms.
- Implement learning from incidents and audits.
- Utilize analytical skills to assess trends and improve safeguarding effectiveness.
Operational Support & Incident Management
- Provide safeguarding advice to all staff.
- Oversee the management of safeguarding referrals.
- Work with HR and operational teams to address safeguarding concerns.
- Manage safeguarding disclosures, allegations, and investigations.
